I am Damen Marin...these people got fully refunded there money..no body ripped them off..a big misunderstanding..now they are slandering me all over the place..they are the real slime balls.

i just want too reslove this..ive refunded these people there money..wasnt able too complete the service due to employee problems!....ive offered to do the service for free..but they insist on slandering my name and sending me rude and obnoxious emails...once again i want too clarify...i am offering too due the service FOR FREE!!!

Damen scheduled cleaning appointments with 4 clients of mine. When their time came, nobody showed up at their house. They called Switzer Maids over thinking their was a scheduling problem or miscommunication. They called over and over to no avail. Then they understandably wanted their money back. Since they could not reach him, they asked me for a refund, since I'm the person who promoted his company with a Groupon - like ad. Of course, I refunded all the money and asked Damen to reimburse me. He's nowhere to be found, won't answer any calls and I haven't seen one dime of the $500 I'm out. Oh, and when these people purchased the deal to have their houses cleaned, I immediately sent Damen his share of the money I collected.
Damen is a liar. He's a thief. Don't trust him. Don't do business with this shady character. I'm wondering if he even has a cleaning company.

i have a cleaning service and have been in business for 15 yrs!! Ive never ever ripped anyone off period!!..I am trying too convey too these people who are apparently not getting it.. FULLY REFUNDED...WILLING CLEAN FOR FREE!!! GOT IT!!
I excpect a call (not an email) about this matter ASAP!..or i will assume that you just want to banter about this online.

All that the original report states is true. Although in my opinion is describing him nicely. He would have me clean a home, and I would do a fantastic job. A lot of customers would be so happy, they would sign up for weekly cleans. Since I was the highest paid employee on his roster, he would stop sending me to these homes, and start to send his employees that worked for minimum wage. Nonetheless, cutting my hours to barely any a week.
If we were sick, or injured, or had emergencies, he would threaten us; "You show up, or you won't have a job!" When told about a semi-major illness one day he retorted, "Take an Alleve and be there at 9am, or your fired!"
He rarely got us supplies that we needed. A lot of times the supplies would come out of our own home. He rarely gave us any gas money or helped us with the maintenance of our vehicles, yet had us driving all over, to places like Laffeyette, Greeley, Berthoud, and up in the mountains. We were hourly employees, but were told we were independent contractors so he wouldn't have to deal with our taxes.
He would lie to us all the time to get us to do things. He would show favoritism to certain employees. It was not uncommon for him to not pay us our whole paycheck, and then string us along for days waiting for the rest, at his convenience of course. He would call me an "idiot", and would play control games with my hours, when he was very aware that I was desperate for money. It was times when I needed money the most, that he would decide to not schedule me any houses, and then evade me when I would try to contact him to ask him why. If it was on the other shoe, and he was needing to get a hold of us it was a different story. If we didn't answer; he would keep calling back, hang up, and call right back. He would constantly tell us at 4pm on a Friday that, "By the way, you have to work tomorrow." Never had any consideration of plans that we might have had!
He is all about the money. Often, he picks up the check before the girls even show up to do the work! He also would keep our tips! I don't even think that he has a business license, and I would be very surprised if he was insured.
Be on your toes when you come across Damon Marin!

You said that you would expect a call not an email Damen.. I have tried over and over and over to call you.. You pick up the phone and hang up on me when you see its my number. When I call from another number you let it go to your recording and then I am told you have a full mail box.
Come on.. this is not right to ignore the people that paid for your "services" if thats what you can call them.
I wish I would have checked you out before I committed to your services.. I would have never even thought of using you after reading all this crap about you.
And why do you have 3 different addresses?? Seems a bit Shady!!!

I'm a former employee, and I can vouch for the lady saying he kept our tips. It's 100% true. We were overworked and underpaid. He sent us all over the place, and NEVER paid us mileage! My poor van shouldn't have even been used- he was supposed to get company cars! Our clients loved our cleaning, but never liked dealing with Damen. I ended up branching off into my own company, and took half his clients with me because they wanted ME to clean their house, not his company! He even fired a pregnant girl a few years ago and she had to fight him for her money. He said it was because she was not a good cleaner, but she was excellent. We always worked on houses together and the peple would say we did the best job out of anyone he had sent over there. He does not have employees who have been with him for "many years." I worked with him for the longest amount of time, which was two years. He is just trying to cover for himself. Just shut the business down already- you're wasting everyone's time!

I have been an employee with Switzer Maids for 1 years now and when i got hired Damen informed me that people were writing bad things about him on the internet and he showed me exactly where these posts were. He stated that in the process of doing business that infact sometimes thing do not go well and people sometimes do get mad or hurt,he assured me that i would have no problem with him for any reason you know what? HE WASNT LYING i have been here for a year now and i work 40 hrs a week have LOTS of great clients that are very happy with our service and I GET ALL MY TIPS!
I am writing this because it just doesnt seem likely that all of this is true....the internet is a place wherr any idiot with fingers can write and slander anyone at any time. I JUST WANTED TOO PUT IT OUT THERE THAT I AM A HAPPY EMPLOYEE AND WILL CONTINUE TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY...I GET PAID 13.50 AN HR PLUS TIPS.....just my 2 cents. peace

Damen, this was obviously by you. It is always easy to identify writings by you due to the large amounts of grammatical and spelling errors. Another reason I know this is you, is because I worked for you. You really are a pathetic person. I was one of the many employees that you did not pay, you charlatan! One day, karma WILL get you.
