My name is Kristen XXXXXX and I've been compelled to tell my story about what happened with the T & B Sales company that distributes and sells Advantage"The Wonder Cleaner".

No matter how minor an act or how inexpensive something was companies just can't sell something and think their business is doing someone justice no matter how they treat people!!!

In January, I purchased a $100.00 box of industrial cleaners, what they claimed," would clean anything". Now I wasn't a chump and neither is my husband to believe that something like this existed. We own a big-rig, and if any of you out there have ever tried to clean one by hand yourself, you know how hard it is.

Major professional big-rig detail shops use acid on some parts of the rig just to get it clean and have to use a pressure washer to get the gunk off. When the guy used it on our driveway, he had a small-toothbrush sized metal/wire bristled brush he was scrubbing it with. Naturally when you use a wire brush on concrete, you can almost use any cleaner.

We purchased it and were told that we had three days before midnight on the third day to return the product if we were unsatisfied. We sent it back on the 11th of January- two days after buying product, mailed it, have confirmation and receipts for insurance.

We've repeatedly made phone calls to these people asking about our product, speaking w/someone and they say to call back or they're just customer service... They must have forgotten what that position is supposed to do!!!

They finally give me a refund number and now no one is returning my calls on that number either!! I've tried my credit card company and they said I had to give the chemical co 30 days to submit refund. Chemical co said they didn't get all their charge receipts in even after two months!!?! Now they won't return our calls and my credit card co has taken over to find out what's really going on with this company!!!

Not even the U.S. Post Offc could track our package with the insurance on it or the tracking number or anything! I know to some it's only $150.00- after the cost of shipping- which was supposed to be reimbursed as well, but to me it's a matter of Principle and respect for others and if you're gonna work in customer service, it's not rocket-science, do it right!!!

I'm not knocking the industry, I've been in it and know alot of others that are, but be good at what you do and take pride in it or get out of it!!!!!

Advanage is AAA topnotch product

AUTHOR: Pat L - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, March 03, 2012

Hi, my name is Pat and I purchased Advanage in the summer of 2011 so I'm really shocked at finding this report on here. I had a lovely young gal who called herself "the cute girl" and showed me the product in action in amazing ways. I had mechanic's oil stains (thank you, my son John! I love you) on my light salmon-colored carpet and she took them out just using the product and the nozzle of the squirt bottle.

For me what really was the hook is the fact that there are no skull and crossbones on this product. I have small grandchildren, one with severe allergies, and this product is so very safe for children and I can't say enough good about it. It reminds me of Amway's LOC. It does everything and is safe enough to drink. And that comparison is really high praise because Rich Devoss originally produced the best quality products in the Amway corporation. Advanage is a quality product and it was sold to me by a quality salesperson. Haven't had reason to use their customer service, so I can't comment on that. But, that's just how good the product is that I haven't needed to call Customer Service for any reason. Thumbs up, Advanage!

This works!!!

POSTED: Tuesday, January 24, 2012

I am now residing in my aunts home when I came across this product.  Now let me clarify that she passed away 6 years ago and I am cleaning her house that has been empty ever since.  This product has been sitting in her house for over 6 years!  I was just using it before I was going to throw it away to save some money on cleaning products.  I have used this product on rust stains on the carpet, stains on the concrete, in my clothes, and the list can go on and on...let me tell you from a neutral point of view I have never seen anything like it!!! I came across this forum as I was looking for more to purchase and was astonished to read negative reviews about this product.

Point blank it works I wish it was located in a store nearby and wasn't quite as expensive.   I cannot type an opinion about the customer service, I am just giving you an opinion about the product and the way it has worked for me.  I have used this product in my childrens clothes and have saved so many clothes that I was going to throw away!  The product is versatile and it works, just try it...I have never seen anything like this on the market and considering that it looked and smelled like water...I am surprised!

Advantage Cleaner

AUTHOR: oxyD - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 07, 2011

I've been using Advantage for years; it's the only cleaner I use and trust. It really has saved me hundreds of dollars, not only because it's concentrated, but because I needn't buy several different cleaners for different jobs. I've never had any problems with getting hold of customer service should I need anything or have a question or concern.

AUTHOR: Amanda - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 14, 2010

They were in Hopkins,MN tonight. A fast talking woman came to my door and tried the same tactics as others have posted on this site and countless others. She claimed if you bought a bottle, a bottle would also be sent to The Children's Hospital to help the kids who can't be around the toxic chemicals. I called Children's Hospital and they said they've never heard of such a thing (which I figured was the case, but wanted to know for sure). That fact right there is what upsets me the most. So, no matter what you say about the company, that was straight up lying.

They ask if you have a dog and give you lots of compliments and won't let you keep a brochure on the product unless you buy the cleaner. She asked if we had a big tv and kept trying to peek around the corner of our entry way to see inside the house, but I would not let her in. Asked how many vehicles we have and said that I didn't need my husbands permission to get the stuff. "That I'm a smart woman who can make my own decisions". She kept pushing the lavender scented one telling me many times that it'll put my children to sleep. And that I'd be doing good by buying a bottle because as stated earlier, "It'll help the children at The Children's Hospital here in town." She said she was going to school for criminal justice and they were helping her pay her way through school. That part is kind of ironic considering she was scamming people! She said I could only order right then and needed the number from the receipt to order later. Or the other option was to order and that she would hold a check for me for up to 60 days since I said we could not afford it right now.

After I read all the reports on them after she had left I had even a worse feeling and I grew more upset and called the police. They said they were already dispatched to another address concerning these same people.  Watch your house and your bank accounts if you've bought this stuff. The sales people can not be trusted. We have very young children and now I am paranoid about what information they may have on us based on what I said. We did not buy this cleaner, but I almost did. Thank goodness we didn't! I hope my neighbors who may have bought it do not get ripped off. DON'T BUY THIS STUFF!

Advantage the Wonder Cleaner

AUTHOR: Eve - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, June 25, 2010

Last week a man came to my door selling the Advantage Wonder Cleaner.

He demonstrated how well it worked and guarented that it would remove

pet odors from my carpeting.  One of the bottles even has that written on the

label.  But he strongly recommended that I purchase the citrus one.

He was out selling during the same time tornadoes were ripping through

Minnesota and North Dakota, that affected my family.  He never quit talking,

and he spoke very rapidly.  He did not even quit for a moment when a child

came over needing to talk to me.  I bought a bottle and tried it out soon

after.  Within a few days, the odor was back, even stronger.  The guy lied to me.

I have no complaint about it's ability to clean up dirt.  But I don't need a $40

bottle of cleaner to shampoo my carpets or clean the toilet.  I am disgusted

with the salesman and the company, but since the fine print says no verbal

agreements I realize that there is nothing I can do about it.

It Works For Me

AUTHOR: Robert F - (United States of America)

POSTED: Saturday, May 01, 2010

Yesterday, April 30, 2010, a door to door salesman came to our door and presented Advantage Cleaner.  Like most people I too felt a little uneasy about the process of buying something from someone selling door to door in these uneasy times.

After the demonstration we purchased a bottle of the clear cleaner.  My wife cleaned the carpet with her Bissel Carpet Cleaner using the recommended dilution.  It worked.  I tried it on the interior of my car on the base of the door where people scuff with their shoes as they get in the car.  It didn't perform as expected. A stronger dilution would probably work on these scuffs. At this point I thought I am running 50 50 with this product.

Then while walking my dog, a white Jack Russell Terrier, he managed to get some motor oil on himself.  Don't ask.  When we got home I sprayed some diluted Advantage Clear on him and let it set for a minute and then used the sprayer at the kitchen sink to spray the solution off.  It worked.  Without scrubbing, just rinsing with warm water the motor oil came right off. Will I purchase this product again?  Not sure it's too soon to tell.  But so far, no problem with it. Robert F Roseburg, Oregon.

Check out the main web site

AUTHOR: ryoINca - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, March 11, 2010

I also like Advanage products, and just purchased 3 bottles of Citrus cleaner from a door-to-door salesperson. My advice to those who like the product is: (1) Check the math! I was busy, and in a hurry, and ended up paying more than I should have for the stated price of the product, even if sales tax was added on. The salesperson made it sound like I was saving a lot, but it was a LIE. (2) Check out the main web site at www.advanage.com. They have the best prices, free shipping, specials, etc. If you can wait for the product to be delivered, this is the way to go.

HORRIBLE Customer Service; Lack of Refund

AUTHOR: B Mass - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 11, 2009

I should of did my research before buying this overpriced POS cleaner. Anyway, here is my story. Bought the product for $158; next day sent in the receipt signed saying that I would return the product. A few days letter, got a letter in the mail telling me where to send the product.

Here is were the Customer Service bit comes into play, I mailed the product back on Oct 8th I believe, they received it (got an email confirmation from USPS). Its now November 11th, and I still haven't gotten my refund back. I've called 20+ times, spoke to Chrilissa (I know I spelled that wrong) almost everyday. I've called Pat Hines, whom has responded to a post on this before, to which a very unprofessional male picked up the phone. I've even been lied to, by the phone operator telling me Ms. Hines sent my check but a week later it hasn't gotten here. I called last thursday, to which, once again i've been promised that a check will be in the mail (to which if its not waiting tonight, my lawyer will be making his rounds).

This company is a shame, 100% shame. Complaints to the BBB have been made on my part to which they haven't responded. E-mails to Tim Burgess have been sent to no response. Once I get my check, I will call off the dogs, but right now this company is the worse i've ever dealt with.

Surprised!

AUTHOR: Mrs. Clean - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, September 17, 2008

I bought my liter of Wonder Cleaner 10 years ago from a door to door salesman. I was in the garage cleaning and she walked up. She did some pretty amazing demos for me. I bought the stuff for $30. After she left I thought to myself, "Wow, you are such a chump." I NEVER buy stuff from someone coming door to door. So then I had the guilt. HOWEVER, when I filled my bottle and started cleaning with it, I was AMAZED! It cleaned stuff like I've never seen before. My disgusting grill, covered with years of grillinging yuck, was shiny again. The grease just melted off with minimal effort. Also I was amazed that the yellow dog vomit that had stained my carpet years earlier came out completely (after I'd already tried other carpet cleaners). I've given my bottle to friends and family who have complained about an impossible cleaning situation and they all had similar results. For example, someone bought a house with white carpet that had old red wine stains on it. It came out completely. So, I don't know anything about BigRigs but all my cleaning miracles have happened with this product.

I was just online trying to find out how to get my next 10 year supply when I ran across this RipOff report and had to check it out. I don't want to be a chump again. BUT, I have to say that I'm going to go ahead and get another liter because I haven't yet found anything better. It has yet to disappoint me and I'm a clean freak.

advanage customer service

AUTHOR: Tim Burgess - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, July 01, 2008

To Mrs. Kristin's false accusations, our company has a great customer service response. As for her, she is not telling the truth. I personally handled her situation with her purchase of advanage. She called 2 weeks after her purchase date and she had used 2 full bottles of the cleaner.

Our reciepts clearly state on the back that you have 3 business days to cancel your transaction. Due to Mrs. Hogan being so pathatic and dramatic about her financial situation, T & B Sales Inc. agreed to credit her credit card back the total amount of her purchase minus the 2 bottles she had used. Providing she sent the unused bottles back to our office. I even sent her a pre-paid fed ex slip to do this with.

Another 2 weeks went by and our refunds dept had not gotten the product. Sixteen days later Mrs. **** called asking where her refund was. By now, she had given up all rights to a refund of any kind. when asked why she had not sent the product back, her response was she felt she should get to keep it for her inconvience. What inconvience? You used 2 whole bottles to clean up your "mess" and we were still going to refund you partially.

I explained to her that since she did not follow our procedures, she would not be getting a refund. she the had her credit card company try to credit back her account, not knowing that they verify everything before they credit back anything. once we were contacted by her credit card company, we faxed them everything we had on this customer including a copy of her reciept, the prepaid fed ex bill, and they informed Mrs. **** she was not entitled to a credit back on her card or to a refund.

This matter was closed as far as we were concerned until i checked this site and found that she had placed defamitory lies about our company. I just wanted to take a minute to respond so you could get the truth and if you need anything faxed, mailed, etc. i will be happy to send you everything we sent her credit card company.
thanks
pat hines

Those morons come to my shop every couple of years trying to sell that crap. Did they do the taste test routine? Where it's safe enough to drink. I let them drink it, then throw them out. It use to be $15 per bottle then $20 per bottle.

Don't know what it is now. That was years ago. If you bought 2 bottles they "gave" you 2 for "free" so you ended up with 4 bottles. I have to laugh. I can always tell when I go into a business and they've bought that scented water.

The places smell like an orange factory. You're right about the driveway test. If you spit on the driveway and scrub it, it'll come out just as clean. Just think, if you hadn't mailed it back, you'd only be out the $100 instead of the $150. Lesson learned.
