The following was posted on the Fetal Stem Cell Topix Board by the sister of ERic Greenberg. This not the first case of malignant tumors resulting from fetal stem cells.
My brother Eric began working for Medra in late 2008. Dr. Rader had known him for years as the salesman at the local Radio Shack in Malibu and immediately offered him a job with Medra when he learned that Eric lost his job with Radio Shack. Within a couple of months, Rader experimented on Eric to see if stem cells could bring back the vision in his left eye that he lost in an accident when he was two years old. In 2009 Eric developed malignant tumors that spread throughout his body before he sought treatment. He died of cancer on February 28, 2010.
I think I will always wonder and never know whether the unnecessary stem cell injections into Eric's abdomen had anything to do with the tumors that developed in him. I believe that before doing such experimentation, a responsible medical professional would have done a thorough baseline physical examination as well as some follow-up on his health and the effects of the treatment.
