This happened two years ago, and still has not been resolved. My complaint is not only with the Wadsworth store, but the main business offices.

Several years ago I stopped using personal credit cards because our family business was having financial problems. We later filed for bankruptcy and my name appeared on those papers only as co-owner. No personal debts were involved in this filing.

A year later, I decided to use my Fashion Bug credit card to do some Christmas shopping. The clerks pulled my card in front of many holiday customers and did not give me an explanation.

A month later I got a letter from a bank saying that since I had not used my card for over a year it was no longer valid. The bank gave me an address to write for addition information. I wrote - twice - but the letters were never answered.

After a lengthy on-line search I located the Fashion Bug corporate address and wrote them. My primary question to them was if the card was no longer valid, why didn't they notify me by letter? Again, there was no answer.

So I located a phone number and called them. I was passed around from rep to rep, but finally was told that my card had been cancelled because my name had appeared in a bankruptcy proceeding. But the question of why I wasn't notified privately instead of very publicly in front of a store of shoppers was never answered properly.

The only response I received in answer to that question was if I wanted to reapply for credit, they would consider it.

I told them to forget that idea, because I never planned to step foot in a Fashion Bug again - and I haven't.

What do you expect? probably make that garbage in sweatshops.

AUTHOR: Marcie - Cleveland (U.S.A.)

Seriously. While I feel bad that you had to go through the hassle, what did you really expect from a company that sells cheap, poorly made clothing? They probably make that garbage in sweatshops. I wouldnt be caught dead in something from that crappy store. I would recommend you try a store that doesnt cater to the welfare crowd.

Good quality not at Fashion Bug

AUTHOR: R - Westfield (U.S.A.)

Hi Marcie - You are 100% correct. Actually, I've found better quality, good brand label clothes at the G&W or S&A stores (Good Will and Salvation Army) !!!
