I've purchased from House of Brides in the past with no issues.  Product was delivered in a timely fashion and it was exactly what I wanted.  This gave me an increased feeling of confidence when I went to purchase a bridesmaid dress for my own wedding as one of my girls did not have a credit card.

After specifically placing a RUSH order (delivery promised within 5-7 weeks then priority shipping) on Dec 18th/10 for my wedding March 5th I was confident that I would get the dress with enough time for the bridesmaid in question to alter the dress and everything would be great.

HOWEVER!!!! After 5 weeks I emailed a submission through the contact us section of the website simply requesting an update on my dress.  I also at the same time addressed the fact that they had sent me a DOUBLE order of a different dress (for my mother) which they had refunded previously without issue, but still mailed me the dress twice!!  I got no response.

After THREE more attempts to get a person to contact me through the site I called the customer support and was told to refuse delivery on the double order dress and that somebody would contact me from the Account Services part of the company about my other dress as it was now 7 weeks after ordering.  I was never called as promised but they did email me a one line email:

"Please refuse delivery and the dress will be sent back.  Thank you."

HOW WAS THIS SUPPOSED TO HELP ME??? I had already been told this and all I wanted was an update on my dress!!! 

My fiance finally phoned yet again and was told that there is NO DIRECT LINE to the Account Services section of the company.  So I can call and place an order but if anything goes wrong with that order I can't get ahold of any functional human being to help me??? Just leave a message they say and we'll get back to you.  I have yet to ACTUALLY have an Account associate contact me, and its been FOUR WEEKS of trying to get information.

My soon to be husband phoned back again most recently on Feb 14th.  He was told they had put a request in with the designer.  At this point I abandonned all hope that the dress would actually arrive on time and began asking for a refund.  I sent two seperate emails to the email address provided:

info@houseofbrides.com

stating that I no longer wished to be affiliated with the company at all.  They STILL haven't responded!!!!!!

I have had my credit card company reverse this charge since I was charged over $200 for a dress I never saw that I firmly believe the designer doesn't even have in stock!!!  2 out of my 3 bridesmaids have NO DRESS from this company!!!!  One actually managed to get a dress after weeks of harassing the company and as it is the dress arrives TWO weeks before the event despite being ordered well over 16 weeks in advance for a 9-11 week delivery promise!!!

This company is more than willing to take your money (sometimes more than once!!!) but they aren't willing to follow through with any customer service OR with a refund when the crap hits the fan!!!

They obviously aren't going to last long if this is how they want to treat their customers ... like pieces of garbage that just exist to give them free money for NO PRODUCT!!!

I sincerely hope that NOBODY ever buys from this company ... EVER ... I know I won't!!!!!
