I was a consultant on a new bar (in 2003) and provided my name and phone number on a sheet provided by HAWK Alarm. I did a follow up with the bar I helped open and found out that HAWK was not monitoring the alarm system. The business therefore cancelled the contract based on breach of contract by HAWK.

As a result, the account was passed to Anderson Crenshaw & assoc. Even after the proof of cancellation was provided. They are relentless and contacted me because my name and number were on the paperwork as I was expediting the process for my clients.

I laugh at what they say and the messages that they leave. This one "associate" contacted me and read "MY" social security number to me. It was not mine and when I asked him to repeat he said "I can't". When I asked why he couldn't, he replied "I wasn't supposed to". Illegal?!

This guy broke the law by telling me someone else's SS# I could have written it down and secured a loan for something. I would not do that because I am ethical unlike Anderson Crenshaw and Assoc.

The funny thing is that they keep calling, they have no ties to me as the consultant, but have they really become so desperate that they will try anything...like the guy at the bar shooting blanks at anyone that will pay attention? They claim a debt of $300+ they must really suck if $300 makes or breaks them. Bottom line is I am not responsible for their clients inability to monitor an alarm system that my client no longer owns and lives in Mexico...go chase him, or keep calling me because the messages are hilarious.

Thanks for the laughs Anderson Crenshaw & Assoc...you keep calling but you will never get anywhere...nice move by having women call...much to your credit you have figured out that illiterate GED graduates are not a match for my intellect...you guys are stupid and don't be surprised if your CEO John Getz gets sued for unethical business practices...I agree that creditors should have a recourse, but I have lent and lost more than this guy is worth. KMA. $300.00 really?

Anderson Crenshaw & Associates Unethical attempt to collect... update. Dallas Texas

AUTHOR: Anonymous texas - San Antonio (U.S.A.)

I filed a report with the FTC and the BBB. If you have a situation like mine I suggest you do the same and if you send them a letter to stop bothering you, they have to. Send it certified mail and maybe you can start a retroactive paper trail like I have.

The problem here is that they have no one to pin this on so they are harassing someone that has nothing to do with it. Problem solved though.

Good luck to everyone that has encountered a situation like mine, the best thing to do is be proactive and fix it.

Correction to the original is "I have lent and lost more than I care to remember with no recourse like the company this guy has established. This company is spending more, trying to recuperate a debt that is not valid, than it will be worth for them to pursue." Sometimes you just have to let certain things go when you realize that you have no avenue to pursue, such things have happened to me, and in this example it has to them.

Good luck everyone, I hope you win this fight.
