I was contacted by GreenFlag Profit recovery which happens to be a collection service... or better which happens to be a scam. They find you, offer you $3,000.00 guarantee for 3 months base to work for them. After eating up your time a 3 to 4 hours group interview and another 2nd phase interview from 6 to 8 hours during which time all they do is sell themselves to you (If you're smart you'll find something wrong right there). They show you 10 to 20 years old bad photocopies of articles showing bozos who made commission of $100,000 on certain accounts. Meanwhile, all they do is persuade you to join the company.

After the 2 interviews, total 12 hours, you will be asked to bring $150.00 cash...BElieve that is the essence of the business. You will not make a dime in this company because this type of service, if sold, will take months to sell, because the CEO of the prospects must approve of the service, and of course the accounting team has to put a file together to submit to the sales rep. It takes months... By this time, they expect you to quit, since you need money to survive, but guess what? You have initiated a few business, contacted 1000 or more prospects. The sales manager, another phony, will take it from there. If you read their contract you will realize that the translation for "$3000.00 garantee" means: "You must bring 6 accounts for a total of 2,700.00, and only then, you will be considered to receive the garantee". Hello, you'll never be able to sell anything because the sales process alone takes months. One you give the $150.00, that is all they need from you. By the time your eyes are opened, Guess what? You've paid $150.00 and given hundreds of hours to be cold caller for free. Don't even waiste 1 second with these people. They are crooks and I've said enough. Tell them to go to h**l if they contact you.

Wow; 12 Hours?

AUTHOR: Ron - Pinckney (United States of America)

Wow.  You invested 12 hours investigating a new career?  Unless you already worked in the debt collection industry, you needed the facts presented to make an “intelligent decision.”  No, I didn’t invite you to your interview, nor did I have anything to do with it.

I sat through one of those “group interviews” 15 years ago and am glad I did.  I have been an independent agent for GreenFlag (Transworld Systems Inc) since then.  They have provided me with THE OPPORTUNITY to have my own business and provide for my family for all that time.

Oh, and the $150.  What other business can you start, getting support from a corporate entity and your fellow agents for $150?  And, they have to charge something or the IRS might consider independent agents to be employees.  I didn’t want to be an employee.

No, the group interview probably did exactly what was expected:  It weeded out those who had absolutely no chance of success because of their “employee” rather than entrepreneurial mind set.

If you actually agreed to try and then only went elephant hunting from your first day (something you would be discouraged from doing)  you were doomed to fail because of the long sales cycle involved.  If however, you called on the local businesses around your home; the doctor, the dentist, the lawyer, the landscaper, you could have made “one call closes” every day.

Okay, so this wasn’t a fit for you.  It isn’t for most people.  Most people have an “employee” mindset and that’s okay.  We are looking for hunters in a world of farmers.  Good luck with your future endeavors.
