I wrote them a check for $950.00 to get started on collecting debts for my small business. They did not follow through, never gave me any updates, and now all I want is written verification from them that they are indeed NOT attempting to collect anything on behalf of my company and I would like the $950.00 refunded. Simple. Give me my money back. Thank you.

Even businesses that hire them to collect on their behalf are getting ripped off.
So instead of just being out of money from non-paying customers - you lost money again because you hired a collection agency - waste of money.
SEEMS LIKE A NO BRAINER NOT TO USE THEM anyway
Time to outlaw Collection Agencies - really they cannot get money out of your customers either.
Although this agency is not listed on this website www.budhibbs.com (they only post the absolute worst and add new absolute worst ones as needed)
I suggest you go there and read all about the laws they break!
There are several listed that have never paid their clients the money they collected for those businesses.

Don't give them ANY more money. I handed them a court judgement to collect....they told me how collectable it was...then asked for legal expenses....I didn't bite. I HAD a court judgement. They did collect, slowly, and never sent me a dime til I called repeatedly to complain. I took the defendant back to court because JSA said she refused to pay anymore....guess what? She HAD paid....and they were keeping the money for themselves. It took 3 years and assistance from the Ventura County DA's office;s Investigator Greg Askay....but I got my money: all of it.
Contact the collection accounts: ask if they paid them....then follow up with the DA's office. he has a huge file on these people! Good Luck

Since JSA decided to call me out by name and slander me for speaking out against their less than satisfactory performance...I figured I would put this link out there to dispel any defensive statements here by JSA and it's employees: their BBB record, with 7 ( yikes! count em!!) SEVEN pages of complaints!!!

If anyone has any doubts about this company, heed them! Their smokescreen attempts on their website...the phony web page 'good business bureau" is mysteriously down since I mentioned it here yesterday...for updating!, their swanky new site, complete with music.....is a classy looking front for a disreputable firm.
