I sympathize with all of the rest of you that have endured the harassment of these so called "investigators". I have had 3 of these "investigators", chet stone, sam shapiro, and another one call my MOTHER 5 times in the last week and tell her that i have fraudulent check charges in texas. She called me CRYING on the phone about how i am going to jail for 10 years because an investigator keeps calling her. I told her to ask his badge number and the sheriff's department that he works for, because if it was a real investigator and i had fraudulent checks,the bank would have contacted me.

After she called me last night and left me 3 messages, i asked for the number and contacted "chet stone". When a man picked up the phone he said "data processing" and made me hold on for "chet". Chet told me that i took out a cash advance from a company in texas and since they tried to take out the money and there were overdrafts,it is a "class D felony" and i would go to jail for 10 years maximum.

So i proceeded to tell him about my hours being cut at work and i am signing up for college classes in august and if the company would contact me i could pay them 25 a month or so. He said "that would be fine if this was a collection agency, but it isn't and if you don't pay $250 today you are going to have a warrant issued for your arrest and you might as well turn yourself in on Tuesday".

Well i asked him for the name of the district attorney the case was going to . He stuttered and got quiet and i said "well?" He said Greg Abbott. SO i spent 3 hours on the phone today before i finally got ahold of someone who had a legal background and he laughed when i explained the story to him. He said "you aren't going to jail,they just want you to pay it ".

Needless to say, I already knew that,as when i was 19 i got into some trouble for an aggravated assault and had to do some time,and i read ALOT of law books. I just went through all of the motions with these people to satisfy my mother's heartache,because my parents are going through alot with having my 31 year old brother,who is older than me by 4 years,and who is a hard-core heroin addict,living with them to try to get him some help. You can't scam someone who has been in the system, and i even called my local police station,which is in Greensburg, pennsylvania ,and they laughed,too.

I guess they have to tell you something to scare the crap out of you and your family, though. I want to know how these "investigators" and "detectives" from L.P. and associates sleep at night. And guess what! I have vonage and gmail as well and i never erase my voicemails so i have the voicemails where these people are claiming they are detectives and investigators! So i have proof and so does my mom on her cel phone.
