Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP Trying to get me to send them money for traffic violations that are not mine. Kansas City, Missouri

I received 3 letters from Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP.  Each letter states that their firm is representing the Kansas City, Missouri Municipal Court to "resolve the following cases.  Court records indicate you have unpaid court fees and fines as listed below:" and then there are 5 violations listed in each of the 3 letters, at $35 - $45 fine per each violation.  The 3 violations that are listed throughout the letter are:

Abandoning a vehicle (9 violations)
Not having a license plate on a vehicle (5)
Parking a vehicle in a prohibited place (1)

There are no ticket numbers listed, no dates, no vehicle information.  Only a "case number" "Amount due" and "violation code" for each fine.

I am then warned in the letter that there could be a warrant out for my arrest, and if there is I could be arrested at any time.  Scare tactic, I assume. 

I am instructed to send anywhere from $205 to $225 (different in each letter), for a total of over $600 to this firm.  I checked out the firm's website ... on their website they provide a link to pay the Kansas City Municipal Court fines online ... a link that supposedly goes straight through the Kansas City Municipal Court.  Hmmm ... funny how those links don't work. 

What a load of CR*P!!!!!

a.  I have not lived in Kansas City since 1999. 
b.  The only car I owned in Kansas City was sold to my brother when I moved out of state in 1999. 
c.  I never abandoned a car in Kansas City.
d.  I never owned a car in Kansas City that was without a license plate

I hope people don't just blindly pay this scummy firm/collection agency!  One quick google search of the firm's name turned up a load of rip-off, fraud, scam reports. 

I will be calling the KC Municipal Court first thing in the morning, and will be requesting documentation that I do not have any outstanding fines.  I will then gladly send this firm their payment stubs back in their return envelopes with copies of the documentation from the court that I owe NOTHING.  If they don't leave me alone, I will be getting my attorney involved immediately.  I will also be filing fraud complaints with any and all appropriate agencies!

How do the people at Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP sleep at night????
