Ms. Anderson contacted me and I setup payment arrangements while in my car. She said to call if there are any issues making the payments at the agreed timeframe. When I got to work, I looked at my calendar and what bills I had to pay. I called the Ms. Anderson back and cancelled one payment.
She immediately in a nasty tone told me that I had agreed to that payment and that if I cancel, the whole agreement will be null and void. I said okay - just to cancel it.
She said that I will be sorry, then I hung up. Lo and behold, they charged my account which put my account at -$470.00 (5 overdraft fees of $35 too!) I have been speaking to the "manager" Mr. Eggleston all week, who stated initially on Monday that he is going to refund my money plus 2 overdraft fees. Then, today, Thursday, Mr. Eggleston said that "there is no record that I cancelled." I said that I did cancel, and that his rep just did not input that info into their system. He is still sticking with the nasty employee rather than me, the customer.
I have filed a formal complaint with my bank to retrieve ALL of the funds back for me. It is war!!
FYI - I checked this company out on other sites, and they are attempting to collect debts from 23 years ago! They have changed their name, and have alot of scheming and lies going on. BEWARE!

NEVER, EVER give out your checking account numbers to debt collectors for making electronic debit payments. If you are having financial trouble, the last thing in the world you need is to give a debt collector direct access to your bank account. Once they have this info they can attempt to withdraw any amount from your checking account at any time.
Cancel your checking account asap...They can still attempt more debits....
* Get all terms of any settlement deal you reach with debt collectors IN WRITING BEFORE you give them your money. Never accept settlement deals over the phone...The debt collectors will deny that any settlement was ever made once they get your “settlement” money and will come back demanding more money.
* Never pay debt collectors with your personal checks...Your bank transit + checking account number are clearly visible on the check. With this info they can attempt electronic debits from your checking accounts.
* Pay only via USPS money order...photocopy for your records
* Never sign any document(s) that a debt collector sends to you to fill out and mail back to them....It will be something that they will use against you.
* DO NOT sign your signature on any document that you mail to a debt collector. It could end up on a forged document that can be used against you. Simply type your full name.
* Debt collectors love to create a false sense of urgency...If they've waited months/years for your payment, they can wait one or two weeks for any payment or settlement agreement from you. Any “deadline” like 5PM to get any payment to them is bogus.
* Debt collectors have absolutely NO legal power over you. By themselves, they cannot garnish your wages or freeze checking accounts...only a court can authorize this and they'd have to go through the court system to do this.
* Debt collectors have NO power whatsoever to have you arrested/sent to jail for not paying them.
