I received a collections letter from Nationwide Collections re: $126.90 that I supposedly owed to Columbia HOuse records. It was in my old name which changed some five years ago. So the debt is at least 5 years old according to them.

They could not provide me with any details, only a Columbia House account number that indicated it was for music. There was no one at Columbia House or that initiated the Collections issue or that represented Columbia House that could be contacted. I was just supposed to pay a 5 yr old or older debt to a company that sent me a collections letter out of the blue.

I faxed them a list of information that I needed and told them that they had 30 days to respond to my request for the information. What a scam!!!
