I am yet another victim of the poor practices of Ocwen Loan Servicing.
My Mortgage started out with Taylor Bean & Whitaker, when they folded, it was transferred to Cenlar for a short time, and then to Ocwen in October or November of 2009.
Ocwen began by sending outrageous statements that I was months behind in my Mortgage. I have been on the phone with them for months arguing with them. They claimed that if I sent proof of a November payment that I was all set. Well I did this. Then they claimed it was an October payment. Months had gone by and I finally panicked and sent a payment to get them off my back. Now they claim that it was a September payment! I just sent the proof of that payment that went to Cenlar.
I was also in the process of trying to obtain a loan Modification with them that transferred to them from Cenlar. Taylor Bean application for a Modification was lost I have been trying for well over a year to obtain one and have been told several times that I meet the guidelines but Ocwen is doing everything in their power to deny my application.
They are also bending over backwards to increase my Mortgage payments to an unbearable amount. It was 1,495 and is up to 1,590.00.
They charge me late fees, and a charge for a home inspection that they claim will be done every month? They refuse to tell me what this is for or provide any documentation of this inspection.
They also tried the install a Home Insurance Binder trick on me. My Home Owner’s and taxes have been in escrow forever.
My Insurance agent called and put a stop on that one!
In my opinion the agents are trained liars and game players. It takes every ounce of willpower to remain on a professional level with these people.
My heart does go out to each and every person who is in this position with this horrifying Company. I am a single Mom and have worked my entire life to have a home. My Father died for this Country and this Country is failing to help most of us in this horrifying position. My job is a Home Provider for a girl with disabilities. We LOVE our little Mobile home.
If it is lost… my life is over. No home also means no job.
I pay the mortgage first and foremost, and then I worry about the bills and eating! God help us!
