I received a "discounted payment notice" from AFNI for a past due $371.75 account with T-Mobile. They offered to settle and expunge the account for $25.00. The only problem is that I never, ever received services from T-Mobile!

Since I had just obtained my credit report from the three (3) national credit reporting agencies I knew that this information was not on my credit report. I suspecte a "rip-off."

After googling keywords for "AFNI" I discovered that this company has quite a bad reputation for violating the consumer credit laws and for scamming consumers across the country with fraudulant credit agency collection claims. I have filed my "discounted payment offer" from AFNI in the garbage can next to my desk. CONSUMERS ~ BEWARE OF AFNI!!!
