Azuma Leasing RIPOFF FRAUD Using other's money for different people's accounts Austin Texas

I just received an email from Azuma stating that I had an outstanding balance. I just called and spoke with Adam in the collections department. He told me I owed $92 from a "returned money order". He said that then Azuma sent me a refund check and I cashed it. After a brief argument with Adam, stating that I never sent a money order, I asked if he could send me a copy of it. He said "no", put me on hold and came back with a completely different story. He now told me that Azuma made a mistake and the money order wasn't from me and that it was mistakenly put toward my account after I had already paid off my balance, closed my account, and owed nothing. OK fine. Now I ask Adam to send me some copies (which he says he can't do) and send me another invoice so I can pay this "outstanding balance" from the refund check that was sent to me. Who gets a refund check and holds onto it "in case the company made a mistake and needs it back"? Now I'm being threatened by Adam about him ruining my credit. My point is DON'T THREATEN MY CREDIT WHEN IT WAS YOUR MISTAKE. If you check my credit rating, it is EXCELLENT. I would be happy to pay this $92 balance, but the company has to let me know especially when it is their fault, not mine.

Also, why couldn't Adam send me an invoice or send me copies so that I would know this isn't a scam? How can this company expect me to pay them money if they can't send some paperwork or documentation to me. My account was officially closed for over 1 year and now out of nowhere they say I owe them money and threaten to put it on my credit report. I don't know if this is a scam or what.

I've also contacted the Better Business Bureau and the FTC.
