Central Credit Services,Collection Agency Harrassment Jacksonville Florida

I have been contacted several times in the past few months by Central Credit Services, Inc. in Jacksonville, FL regarding an old Lowes credit card account. Every time I've spoken to someone there I've made it very clear that I do intend to pay this but can't come up with a large amount of money all at once, but that I will make reasonable payments.

On Friday, December 28th I spoke to a Mike Rolando there and was informed that my husband's work had been contacted about a garnishment of his wages since this account is in his name. Since then I have found out that a company can not garnish wages without a judgment from a court and that has not happened yet.

When I spoke to Mike's supervisor today I was told that they do not sue anyone and all they will do is recommend that the original creditor file suit. It is illegal for any representative of this company to misrepresent pending legal action per the Fair Debt Collection Practices act. I did send them a letter today telling them they can no longer contact me in regard to this account and copied the original creditor. I will make affordable payment arrangements on this when it is turned over to someone who is willing to be reasonable and stop harrassing me.
