David Anderson with Creditors Asset Retention, LLC started calling my elderly parents giving them some details about a debt he said I owed for Chase Manhattan.
I called him and said I'd never received a formal communication from his company before and to send me one. I also asked for his address and sent him a "cease to communicate" letter.
The address he gave me was P. O. Box 563, Amhearst, NY 14226. My letter was sent out Return Receipt Requested. The letter came back to me as undeliverable.
I called him today and left him a voicemail giving him details for my file but didn't leave my number. The company website is very scaled down and shows they've only been in business since 2009. Has anyone else had any dealings with them?
I've tried the Better Business Bureau and they're not listed. Then yesterday my parents get another call (even though I'd already informed the company verbally not to call them again) this time from some court giving docket information.
This doesn't sound right to me. I didn't think the court ever phoned this information and I haven't received a summons to appear or a letter to appear.
I'm very perplexed here. Comments and suggestions would be appreciated. Anyone?
