Cross County Bank sold my account and it went down the line to Applied Card Bank, Midland Cross Country, Midland Credit, MCM, EMCC, and each time they sold the accout they reported it on my credit report. I paid the account in full and they left the information on the credit report for the last 2 years. Each time they changed the account number and the amount owed by a few dollars and kept reporting it as unpaid. When I try and get it settled they give me the run around. This cannot be legal! Why isn't someone doing something about this??
