My husband had owed some money around $1400 to Capital One Bank.
Forster & Garbus had bought the account. I had made arrangements to make payment for this account. I was working with a rep and we agreed on $50 a month which i made every month around the first. I was never late or missed a payment. I got the balance down to $700. and asked for a letter stating how much we still owe. August 17 2006 Forster & garbus said we still owed $800. I said what about my july and august payment? They said they never got it which i have proof with my checks that they cashed. I then said until they correct there mistake I will not send any more money which they refused to do . Well its been a year later now and guess what they now want $1,063.94. So now the harrassment calls start again. I refuse to deal with this company again. By right they should owe me now.
