H & H are notorious law violators. They use scare tactics to extort money from a debt they purchased for 10% of your amount owed. They call after acceptable business hours. The falsify documents of when they were served and do not follow through with notification. Do not adhere to them. Let them know via cross complaint that defendant intends discovery pursuant to the California Rules of Civil Procedure.

Wait til 2 days are left to file your cross complaint. Apply for a fee waiver so you don't have to pay. Report them to the http://www.calbar.ca.gov/state/calbar/calbar_home.jsp. Take away their ability to operate by reporting their violations to the bar.
