Today, June 16, 2008, I received a letter from J.C. Christensen and Associates, Inc. working on behalf of the "current creditor", Asset Acceptance Corporation, regarding a matter we had previously confronted Asset Acceptance Corporation with in 2002 regarding an outstanding credit card debt by James Vermeesch dating back to 1981.

It was determined back in 2002 that this was a fraudulent request by Asset Acceptance Corporation and a report was filed by James Vermeesch with the Postmaster General at that time. We never expected to receive another request and I was surprised to see their name on the letter from J.C. Christensen and Assoc., Inc.

James has since passed away, as you are aware since you mentioned it in your letter, and I will do all that I can to stop this type of fraud.
