NCO Financial Ripoff constantly calling my employer How do we stop them Horsham, Pennsylvania

NCO is calling my workplace daily, several times a day regarding a debt of mine. I have told them to stop calling several times and my employer has told them countless times. She is always the one to answer the phone now with an unknown numer on caller id. They have totally disregarded our demands. The way I read it, the FDCPA states that the employer can tell the collector over the phone to stop calling and they must stop. We are frazzled at this point and I dont want to lose my job like the previous poster. Will reporting to the FTC and the attorney general's office do any good? Do I need to hire an attorney?

Lila,
Anyone can cease the calls. Your employer can simply fax the request to them on company letterhead. It is a CEASE COMMUNICATION request as per your rights under the FDCPA.
You need to send one also by certified mail, return reciept requested. Be sure to put the certified# on the letter itself and keep a copy for your records.
