Pantenaude & Felix - A.P.C Dishonest Debt Collection ripoff San Diego California

I have been dealing with this company harrasing me on my old debt. I voluntarily repossesed a vehicle at the end of 2002 or the beginning of 2003.

This company has recently told me that they were going to file a judgement for the amount owed. I have told them that the statute of limitations has surpassed and the person whom i spoke with told me that i had made a payment on the account in 2004 (which I had not made), so that the statute of limitations was not a good enough defense to keep them from filing a judgement, garnishing my wages( which they said they would do if i got a job, because they know everything).

I do not know what to do about these people. I am at the point where i do not answer the phone anymore if I don't know the person who is calling me. I understand that my credit has resulted in a bad rating due to my financial hardships at the time of repossesion, so what can I do to keep them from further harrassment or filing a judgement against me.
