Portfolio Recovery This company calls me at least 2 times a day if not more. I do not answer the phone when they call. I looked them up tonight on line to see who they were and found a ton of reports Norfolk, Virginia

This company calls me no less than 2 times a day. I do not answer calls from places I do not know. I have never spoken to anyone, but I decided to look them up on line to see who they were. I found so many reports on people they have tried to collect money from illegally. Some even said they were sued without notice and levy of their bank accounts. I don't want them to do that me. I don't know if I should speak with them or not. Please help me with this. Should I continue to ignore them or answer the phone just to find out what they want? Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

No you do not have to talk to any collection agency. You are doing the right thing by staying off the phone. If you have the option on your phone you can put a block on thier#s to prevent them from getting through to you. All you need is dial a few#s your phone company can tell you more about this. I'm that way also if I do not know the # I do not answer the phone especially blocked #s.
Your best solution is ignore it and do not answer the phone.
