This company has been sending harassing letters regarding a "debt" from Bank of America. They have been advised on several occasions now that this alleged debt is disputed and that I have no intention of ever paying it, nor would I ever deal with a third party in any financial matter anyway.

I've filed BBB complaints against them with orders to cease and desist all contact with me but they continue the harassment.

I am very interested in hearing from any attorneys wishing to start a class action against RJM.

Check out what NY Attorney General is doing against these bottom feeding junk debt collectors!

About half way down the page there is a report about NY State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo investigating Debt Collectors. Since RJM is in New York, you should contact Mr. Cuomo and launch a complaint. It looks like he is taking the issues with debt collectors violating laws very seriously.

Today I just received a supposed debt from RJM for something more than 14 years ago. It was from Fingerhut (I don't like them) for things I wouldn't dream of buying like and extended warranty for almost $100 dollars more than the item they claim. Why would I buy that for almost $300 on an item that just cost $200? That makes no sense. To top it off I supposedly bought the extended warranty a whole month before buying the actual item. Again that makes no sense!!! As Judge Judy would say "if it doesn't make sense it isn't the truth!"

I have already sent the validation request off today by certified mail and will be watching to see what they do. If they in any way shape or form violate the FDCPA or FCRA you can be sure I will not only file a complaint with the BBB (which I have had success in the past with such bottom feeder scum as these), the FTC but also with Attorney General Cuomo (seems to me he is looking to go after such scum).

Hope this is of help!
