United Collection Bureau (UCB) Toledo, OH UCB Ripoff Toledo, Ohio

I was recently contacted by a woman at this company about a bill that was paid almost 7 months ago.  This bill was actually given to another collection agency at the beginning of the year, which was ironically right next door to UCB! 

I told her it was paid and she went ahead and sent me a bill.  Along with the item mentioned above, it contained another amount listed as "Total of other creditors."  How could she not know what company this amount came from?

My mom also has received calls from this company.  During these many phone calls, we could hear things like children laughing and playing in the background, people laughing and joking around right beside her, what sounded like a television, and her scream to someone there "I'm on the other line!"  There is no way this woman could be working at a desk in the office like she claims!

I think they are taking money from people for bills they do not even have.  If they call you, I would contact the company the debt came from, and if there actually is a balance, pay them directly.
