I had 4 x-rays while in the hospital. My insurance paid for 4 x-rays. I'm still being charged for all 4 x-rays. When I call, its an endless loop of transfers and voicemail messages that are never returned. What's really funny is that my insurance already paid them over $1,000 for the x-rays, but they are only charging me $350 for them.

$350.00 for 4 X-rays sounds very low, however there's usually a deductable on medical insurance, as well as a percentage that is covered of the total bill. You are responsible for the deductable and the percentage.

For instance, my insurance has a $100 deductable plus they pay 90% of the total charge per occurance. So, if I had $1350.00 worth of X-rays, I would still be responsible for about $235.00. Different plans have different rules. Check your policy.
