AIU Online Former employee warns that AIU commits fraud and is not regionally accredited Beaverton Oregon

I worked for AIU Online for about 6 weeks. I got two weeks of training, and everything seemed great. Then I began the work of 'admissions' (High pressure sales) and became a bit discouraged. I never used the high pressure tactics they required me to use, so I made up for in numbers by calling on more leads than anyone. I actually broke the record for the most calls in one day. I would offer the program, but I would not say the things that I was expected to say, such as "If you don't do this you will never get anywhere in your life" and other intimidating things to try to guilt people into buying.

After I was there a couple of weeks, I discovered by talking to the 'prospects' that most of the 'leads' we were calling on had no interest in getting a degree. They just responded to click-ads for a free laptop or other gift, and they never got the gift that was promised.

By now, I was seeking other employment on my own time, but still coming in to work. The last straw was when I came in one day and the completed, signed paperwork for a prospect was sitting on my desk. My manager was all happy because this particular student was on the fence and he had to sign up the day before to meet the deadline, but when I left the call center the night before, he had not signed up. So now the paperwork is complete, but I happened to know that that prospects phone had been disconnected, so he did not have internet to e-signe his documents, plus, he wasn't all that keen on signing up, so how did he manage to sign up at night after I left work?

When I asked the 'dean of admissions' (Sales Manager), he didn't tell me, just was surprised that I was not thrilled to get another sale.

Also, when I tried to logon to my computer that morning, my password did not work. Someone had changed it overnight.

I tried for a week, and finally tracked down the prospect at his military base. He had been in the field for the past week. I asked him how he managed to e-sign the agreement, and he stated that he did not.

So now it was clear to me. After I left work that night, someone, my supervisor or the 'dean' himself, had reset the password on my computer and e-signed the agreement, then printed it off and left it on my desk so I would turn it in! I had turned in a fraudulant document which had a forged e-signature which was done on MY COMPUTER!!! This is a feloney, by the way!

I immediately went to the 'dean' to tell him, and his only concern was how to save the deal!

I immediately quit and submitted a letter of explanation to the HR department.

At that time, AIU was on some kind of probation, and later I heard that they did lose their accreditation.
