First off Georgia's Hope scholarship will pay 100% of your tution in Georgia. So when I signed up for Devry this was a repeated question that they kept putting off. All they would say is yes the do accept the hope scholarship. They then went on setting up my loan and educard account. I didn't know why they were doing this if HOPE pays for everything. So as the semester goes on I receive a bill for over 6000 dollars for 4 classes. Didn't think nothing of it because thought HOPE will cover it. Then when I received my HOPE check it was less than 1000 dollars. After fighting with the financial aiad office at least three times a week it turns out that HOPE will only pay up to 3500 dollars towards Devry classes if you are enrolled full time. This should have been something they told me from the beginning. Now I am stuck paying back over a 4500 dollar loan for 4 classes because of this. I have 3 other degrees thought I have gotten from other colleges that HOPE paid 100% of. On top of this after I finished the semester they charged me another 50 dollars for not going back. Just remember there is always somebody out there in the world just trying to get your money.
