ITT Technical Institute Their strict attendance policy!! Johnson City, Tennessee

  I started my quarter out and the very first week of class I broke my foot and leg. I have missed just two classes on my wednesday and friday classes. I have a class also on thursday, which I find out the day of coming that I have been dropped, because they say I have missed 3 consecutive days in a row, how can this be if I only had two absences from my wednesday and friday classes!! I now have to pay for this class and pay for it again, when I retake it. I am due to graduate this March 2011, but I'm not. I have asked time and time again to take four classes and I have been denied this option.

 I wanted to take four classes to help me catch up, so I can graduate in March. I now have to sit back and wait to see, when they are going t offer my Contract Law class again, which means this could put me further behind and more money out of my pocket....this is a true rip-off!! I have medical records, doctor's excuses, a cast and crutches to prove that I have in fact had an injury. I think there should be something in place to help studnets in this situation. I went to my Dean of Affairs and all I get is that's Tennessee State Law and nothing I can do for you. So it's forget you and your injury, but we still want our money!! 
 
I  had my schedule changed the second week, which I didn't mind....but was told that I would get an absence for a class that I wasn't even enrolled in the first week!! I attended all my classes I was scheduled for the first week!! They noticed I needed to be in another class, before I could take another class, which isn't my fault....they should have caught that, before they were audited. I had to get mad, before they would help me. It takes you getting pissed off, in order to get help. I was then told it wouldn't count me absence for that class, but it would give me an absence how can that be. You show up to class and you get punished for their mistake. There are other issues with this school, that concern me as well, but too many to put on here!!
