Kaplan University Online Kaplan University Rip-Off / Will not provide itemized bills! Boca Raton Florida

I attended Kaplan University Online to complete my degree in Crim Justice. Each term I was on the Presidents List and always met my financial obligations. Following the Katrina/Rita tragedy in New Orleans, I submitted a request to withdrawal from future courses and be placed on educational release - which was granted - at which time I left for New Orleans. I was not able to return in the allotted time frame - by Kaplan - and found that my courses had been rescheduled.. I attempted to contact my advisor or anyone else who would listen.

Each person I successfully spoke to advised me that I could do nothing without first going through my assigned advisor which was impossible given she did not respond to any of my calls or emails - and can I add that obtaining access to such things while in N.O. was definitely a challenge. There came a point where I even logged on to try to get aid from my assigned instructors who advised me that I should keep attending and that I could make up the work if I returned in time - at which time I advised them that I had no consistant access to the internet given my location.

Long story short... no one ever helped me and I received no response to my numerous requests for withdrawal. Finally, when I returned .. I had a bill of 1272.24 for 'late' withdrawal from courses... When I contacted the listed number the gentleman became rude and would not hear me out... He even threw in my face that I had 'technically' attended part of the time as it showed I logged in to the classroom to which I explained why. He did not care to listen. When I requested a paper bill with itemized explanation and a venue to dispute this bill - he became boligerant and actually hung up on me.

Next thing I know.. Pinnacle finance is blowing up my phone and will not acknowledge any of my dispute letters.. this is totally causing a problem for me with my credit given that the nature of my current employment frowns on deliquencies directly affecting my clearances... I am at a loss as to what to do at this time.. I feel that I have exhausted all of my options.

If anyone can provide any contact information for furhter dispute letters to Kaplan or Pinnacle.. it would be greatly appreciated... I know I could just pay the debt but it has become a matter of principal given how I've been treated. I was trying to do the right thing... attempted contact numerours times... all I received in return was attitude and the refusal to provide what is normal billing explanations/itemizations..
