I have used the regular magicjack in the past but ended up returning it since wasn't convenient to always have the computer on and such.

Ordered this new magicjack plus under the 30 days trial from an e-mail I received with a $34.95 sale promotion.  When I placed the order, received my magicjack in the mail and I got an e-mail order confirmation charging me the original price of $69.95, $7.95 shipping and $3.74 regulatory/compliance fee.  This is what I will be charged at the end of my 30 days trial.

Upon receiving such e-mail I e-mailed customer service about it and I was told that promotion was over and was only available through e-mail promotion.

I told them that I did placed the order through such e-mail that I received but for some reason I was not being charged the $34.95 sale price.  After getting the run around and some e-mails back and forth and even sending them the e-mail that I received to prove it, I was told that they can not give me that special price.

I told them in conclusion being that the case it is then false advertising and a scam.  That I will be reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission for this and also I will be posting my opinion on this experience on different internet forums (like this one) to let everyone know about what they are doing and make people beware.

Even though I told them this they did not care and still not honoring the e-mail with the sale price.

At this point I have requested a return authorization number and I will be returning the magicjack before my trial period expires.  This shows how bad of a company they are and what their selling practices are.

Regarding of my use so far of the product.  It did connect with no problem to my router and worked.  The sound quality is not the greatest and not that clear as they advertise but could be worst.  I had Vonage in the past and that was very clear and good.  I canceled it because their basic monthly price for the service got expensive month after month.  With magicjack I saw that it was supposedly be the same and cheaper so that is why decided to give it a try.

As you can see the reason I am returning it is because they won't honor the special price from the e-mail I received.
