Avtech Direct Spam me constantly and illegally; avoiding collection of CA sales taxes. Woodland Hills California

Avtech Direct constantly spams me in clear violation of the U.S. "can spam" bill signed into law by President Bush. I called Avtech Direct on this illegal activity and the lady told me that they probably have my email address "by mistake." Well, I would NEVER have signed up with such an unknown and, as I now know, disreputable, dishonest, law-breaking firm.

There's great spam info on the Federal Trade Commission web site at http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/conline/edcams/spam/index.html. I have gone ahead and reported Avtech Direct to the feds at the FTC web site, https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01, which states, "If you have a specific complaint about unsolicited commercial e-mail (spam), use the form below. You can forward spam directly to the Commission at SPAM@UCE.GOV without using the complaint form."

It's very interesting that the "from" address from Avtech Direct's spam email is "Administrator [Admin@computeradmin.org]", and the computeradmin.org domain when I visited it today, 9/1/04, says, "Welcome to computeradmin.org! This site is currently under construction. Please come back again later" How funny is that?! ;) This company must be run by a bunch of incompetent folks!

Also, I think this company is violating its state sales taxes there in California because, I could be wrong, but I think this is one of its web sites and IF it is, they are NOT collecting any sales tax for California residents whatsoever!!!

http://www.avtechcomputers.net/asp/shipping.asp. Can someone clarify/confirm this info please? Isn't there sales tax in California???!!!

If anyone from California reads this (or anyone else for that matter) and finds that this company is NOT collecting CA sales taxes that they should be, please Please PLEASE report them to the CA Attorney General.

The CA Attorney General can then force this loser company to turn over ALL of its records, sales receipts, contracts, etc., which will shed a lot of light on its illegal activities. :)
