Last Fall, Aug 2010 I purchased an ASUS computer (laptop) from Best Buy. Within a month the mouse pad did not work on the laptop. After numerous calls to a company (the manufacturer) that Best Buy gave me and unable to contact anyone, I gave up and decided to just use a wireless mouse my laptop. 3 months later several keys would not work and the laptop basically lost all of my graduate work I had completed the previous semester. I also lost several major papers that were due at that time. I decided to take my laptop back in and had them send the computer to the manufacturer in which they said it would cost $85.00. Two days later, (and I don't think that they ever send it to a manufacturer), they called me and said that it would cost $716.00 to fix my laptop, and that the damage was water damage and was not covered under the warranty. I never had my laptop near water! I carry it in a computer bag, waterproof. To whom this may concern, I wish that I would researched this company before I bought from them.
