Andrew Webber Asked me for a deposit and did not deliver the work Toronto Ontario

Hello!

I placed an ad on craigslist calling for a Graphic Designer to complete a small job. Andrew Webber from wutt.ca responded via email and promised to do the job for $80. He asked for a deposit, and I made the deposit in cash at his bank. I actually paid for the whole thing simply because I didn't want to be bothered going back twice and waiting in line again :-)

Andrew promised to deliver the work via email. This never happened.

Again and again, email after email, he kept giving me updates and making all sorts of promises about when the project would be delivered (at first it was a server issue, then an email issue, etc..)

In the end, I never received anything.

So, it cost me $80 and 6 calender days in all.

The lesson learned: BE CAREFUL!! ALWAYS ASK FOR REFERENCES! Never give a deposit unless you have an address, or unless you know it's a reputable company. Always make the proper verifications first!
