on the 13th of jan, 2000, i ordered a new computer system from american premier holdings, inc. in midvale utah. the system was described as a 400mgh celoron, with 64 megs of ram, an 8.4gig hard drive 160watt sound driver, printer, 17" monitor, flatbed scanner, and a large amount of software. the price of the entire package was $3000. this seemed like a good deal for the way it was described by the sales person on the phone.

the system arrived in a timely manner, but it diddn't work, it would not even start. that is when i found out that their tech support is only open m-f 8:00am to 6:00pm. i finally got ahold tech support, and it took another week to get the unit picked up and sent back to utah for repairs, i got the unit back a week later. the system booted up and ran for about three hours, and shut itsself down, and would not come back on, i have tried to return the entire system and was told that that is not acceptable to them i have it and will pay for it, like it or not. it took two weeks of argueing but they did ship another tower, this one works except for the sound, that does not work at all.

the system is not as the salesman described anyway, it only has 32 meg of ram, no networking card on the replacement tower, the monitor is only a 15" instead of 17, the" high end" color printer is a bottom of the line model that i just saw advertised locally for $59.95 retail, i never did get the scanner, and now am told it is not included in the package.

i was told that since the package i bought was not described on the sales contract, that it is too bad but the package is what ever they determine it to be at the time. this entire system was misrepresented from the start, i have beem mistreated by the company and told that all they have to do is send me a computer and they have met their contract, if the computer never works, it dosen't matter i will still have to pay for it.

i do not want this computer, i want the company to take it back and cancel the contract. this system is not what i agreed to buy, and therforre i will not be paying one cent on it and i have also contacted a lawyer, and the az attorney general's consumer fraud department
