I ordered a bird train kit that was to cost $47. I ordered it through the www.birdtricks website.
I read the entire website order and went through many pages to opt out of any additional products or services.

When the material arrived there  was a note in it that said birdtricks.com had enrolled me in a 30 day trial of their advanced material, and if I did not return the additional material my credit card would be charged an additional $197.30.

I immediately re-boxed  the material, called the company for a return and sent the material back UPS.
The company told me they would cancel the $197.30 charge upon receipt of a tracking number on the return, and would credit my credit card $47 upon receipt of the returned material, but I would be responsible for the $10.85 charge for their shipping cost.

I called my credit card company and reported the incident.

These people automatically include almost $200 of extra material to your order and if you are not observant enough to read all the included material you will be faced with an extra $197.30 charge to your credit card.

The extra material consists of 2 DVDs and a book, had I not carefully read the enclosed note I would have assumed that this was part of the original $47 order.

My company does all the web design and product fulfillment for Birdtricks.com  Everyone who orders the course lands on this page prior to ordering:

http://www.birdtricks.com/secure-orders.htm

You have the option of choosing the basic package for $47.77 plus shipping or you can take them up on our their elite option which includes the extra materials with a 30 day trial of $197.00

The only possible way we would ever send someone an elite version of our course with the $197 trial is if they select yes and ask us to on this page. There would be no point sending it out to everyone and upsetting our great customers.  This is also why we include the paper in the package explaining what they received and the 30 day trial as we know that not everyone reads everything prior to purchasing.  We also have a 6 month money back guarantee so all that's required is you mail everything back.

I'm sorry if this page was confusing to you. Rest assured though as long as you mailed it back to us we'll promptly refund your original charge and not charge you anything further.

Birdtricks website

I carefully read and marked every page and check box declining all additional offers.
So basically you, pay no attention to the decline boxes, or just send the additional material anyway in hope someone will neglect to read your disclosed note of a $197.30 extra charge.

Any way you look at this practice it is at the least deceptive and more than likely FRAUD.
You should be ashamed to present such unethical practice as good business.
