I spoke to Lance and Geeno from Data Depot. They told me that they had the most up to date data there is available. They run all the data thru their "Special" system to sort out any bad info (like bad email addresses, bad phone numbers, etc).

I purchased their list of Email addresses. I send out a 'one time' informational email to potential clients. I send out about 1000 at a time and out of each batch I send out 400-600 of them bounce back saying that there is no such email address.

They LIED! The information they sold me is bogus!!!

I advise not to buy list from Data Depot. You will be wasting your money.

Poetic justice?

Let's see if I have this right.

You purchase a database of email addresses and then proceed to send out groups of 1000 unsolicited commercial emails (this is known as SPAMMING) and complain that many of the email addresses are bogus.

Does your ISP know that you're sending spam? SPAMMING is almost always a violation of the terms of service agreement with most ISP companies and can result in your IS being terminated. Further, SPAMMING in the US is ILLEGAL!

Boo hoo for you. No sympathy for you from this quarter.

This appear to be a case of one crook stealing from another crook. Seems appropriate to me.
