Circuit City warrenty and extended warrenty rip off

my daughter and i purchased a toshiba 1735 laptop computer from circuit city in fort walton beach, florida. the salesman offered us an extended warranty which he claimed would cover any and all damages and that circuit city would replace our laptop with a comparable model if ours could not be repaired.

our laptop's screen was damaged when accidently sat on by my daughter. when we brought our laptop to the service desk at circuit city we immediatly ran into resistance. we were told by the counter person that circuit city would not do anything regarding the repair until after the first year and that the toshiba corporation would not honor the warranty due to other than normal damage.

we had the manager come to the service desk as well as the salesman. the salesman flatly denied making any such claim, which was a lie, and the manager said that the circuit city extended warranty does not cover physical damamage.

they said they would cancel the extended warranty for us but would not give us a refund for it. we were given a business card from the manager, named quinn vitulli, with " does not cover physical abuse" with his signature on it.
