I am writing this after getting a "Dear Valued Customer: " letter from TigerDirect

"Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, records indicate your rebate guarantee was received, processed and denied. We apologize for the inconvenience."

This was after I had gotten this
"Dear Valued Customer, Your rebate was denied because you did not sign the form. Since you were unable to get the rebate. You can go into tigerdirect website and
apply for the tigerdirect guarantee rebate. We will honor the rebate.

If you have any questions please let us know. Thank you and have a great day."

I had already gone through the "Guaranteed Rebate" process before that email and have yet to receive a response relating to the "Guarantee"

This all started out as purchase for a Intel Processor with a $50 rebate which made the purchase a deal. If I had know that it was more like a scam I would have ordered from one of several other companies at a slighter higher price but that would have been the "Real" price. After waiting for a month for my rebate I get an email with "The Rebate was denied Insufficient documentation - No signature on rebate form."

Is this a common trend for this company? I completed the paperwork as required and on time. I would have sent the processor back if it wasn't for the simple fact that you have to open the package and remove the UPC making any type of return near impossible.

I'm wondering if I call my Visa whether they can do a dispute? Then again I can't say that I wasn't warned before this. I have several friends who will no longer deal with TigerDirect because of rebate issues and they forewarned me. I just hope that this company and it's fraudulent partners eventually get what they deserve. If nothing else hopefully this serves as a warning to others to not buy from TigerDirect or deal with anyone offering rebates handled by OnRebate.

Finally got rebate.

AUTHOR: Kevin - Bellefonte (U.S.A.)

I finally recieved my rebate check from OnRebate after Resending all of my copies to TigerDirect and then getting a response from them: "Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, records indicate your rebate guarantee was received, processed and denied. We apologize for the inconvenience." I wouldn't call their "REBATE GUARANTEE" any kind of guarantee!

I then resent a copy of the forms to OnRebate making sure that the reason I was denied (no Signature) wasn't an excuse again! Recieved my check and cashed it. So far it hasn't bounced! SO it only took 17 weeks (not 8-10). I won't buy from Tiger Direct again after this experience with their "Rebate Guarantee" and I am warning anyone looking to purchase items to not buy from them.
