After verticle lines started to appear on my Inspiron 9300 I went to Dell's forums and found that it is a known defect in the screens, however Dell refuse to even acknowledge the defect.

Trying to get help from customer service is like waiting for the moon to change. After so many complaints Dell finally admitted the screens had problems, however refused to replace them after the warrenty ran out.

When you purchase a computer that cost in excess of $1200 you expect it to last longer than 3 years.

if you paid 1200.00 for a 9300 someone got you good! that computer is low grade to start. and 3 yrs on a lap top of that lower grade ...was really good..next time dont be so tight spend 3000.00 buy a e6500 lat. from dell...they last 5 to 7 years and can really take a beating. you get what you pay for...you bought a low end computer. you have learned your lesson...this time spend some real money on a high end computer and you will be good for 5 to 7 years.
