Rescuecom stole $545 from me through an unauthorized credit card charge. Syracuse New York

In order to get Rescuecom to come to my house I had to give them a credit card number, although they assured me no charges would be made without my authorization. I paid my entire bill on the spot by check in the amount of $617.45 yet when I received my next credit card statement I found that Rescuecom had also put a $545.00 charge on my card. Even though I sent them copies of the bill left by the technician and a copy of the canceled check for payment in full they refused to issue a credit to my credit card or make any kind of restitution to correct their overcharge. I was told this refusal came directly from the President of Rescuecom.

Dave,
I feel your pain. About a month ago, a similar situation happened to me with Rescuecom. I've been trying to get my money back ever since. From what is on this website alone, it seems that Rescuecom definitely has some questionable practices. I am currently seeking to get my money back and I'm not going to give up easily. Rescuecom should not be allowed to lie, steal money, and not refund for services not performed. Did you know they have a Fix it or it's Free "guarantee" that they use on their website. I've contacted the president (or someone high up) about this and he's not been very helpful. But persistence is key. I'll plaster my story all over the internet and make sure everyone at that company knows my name and my story. I suggest you and others like us do to same until we get our money back. I've contacted the BBB as a first start.
