E-zsoft Software uninstalled software within week of purchased and they will not refund due to 'active' license Internet

I purchased this software (DVD to iPod converter) after 'thinking' the trial version was good. After installing I noticed how misleading it was and immediately uninstalled it (3 days). I then requested a refund (Dec. 21st, 2008) and after many emails was finally informed on Jan. 24th, 2009, that they were not refunding my money since it was an 'active' license.

Since I can only think that because the license was actually used on the initial install they considered it an active license.

I am filing this report since I did what I thought should be done to receive any refunds. To me this company is not worthy of any business and I hope that I can deter someone else from purchasing their software.

The software was $29.95 and in the confirmation email you receive after the purchase there is a little paragraph at the end informing you of a monthly subscription fee of $14.95 which you do not have an option of opting out at the time of purchase.
