You've gotta love a company like
ALLHDD.COM when it comes to
cheating people and hoping they'll just "go away" if they drag their feet enough....
Back on 11/2/11 I needed a particular hard drive which I found on their website,
http://www.allhdd.com. They
seemed like a reputable company so I ordered a 500GB hard drive from them which arrived around a week later. Only it didn't arrive. Despite ordering and paying for a particular 500GB model, they shipped me a 250GB model that looked almost identical (except it was HALF the size). Okay...maybe an honest mistake.
So I follow their process which means filling out a "support ticket" in their online system. Three days later they respond asking for the serial number with I provide the same day. Two days later I send another message asking for a status update since no one has replied. Three days after that I finally decide to call my bank and ask them to reverse the charges. That same day I get a response back from ALLHDD.COM with instructions on how to return the drive. Funny how that works....
I respond back asking about shipping since I didn't want to have to pay shipping, again, for their mistake. They finally send me a pre-paid label to send back the drive which I ship a few days later. At this point it's been 3 weeks since my original order.
The drive arrived at their location on 12/2, over a week ago,
and STILL no refund and it's now
been over a MONTH since I originally purchased the hard drive. I posted yet another message in their support system only to be told: "
Please wait, we\'ll keep you posted." I guess it's time to call the bank again....
The drive was only in the $50 range so it's not really about the money. But how can you trust a company that treats their customers that way? I can't imagine how much they'd stonewall me if I'd purchased something larger and much more money was on the line. Definitely not a company I'll be doing business with or recommending to anyone in the future!
