They offer training, certification, and job placement assistance. Let’s break it down here:

Training: For the top-shelf training for MCSE Certification, they have one instructor. Not two, only one. Very knowledgeable instructor and good at what he does. However, out of the entire class, make sure that you are one of the two or three students in the class he deems as worthy lest he be embarrassingly rude to you, even during class. I witnessed otherwise very sharp students belittled during class and the ‘why’ is a mystery to me.

Gripe: I am paying a LOT of money for this training to learn, not to be arbitrarily judged. Also: For working adults it is difficult to attend with 100% regularity. There is little to no effort or assistance to get you caught up when you miss a class. This will make the instructor turn on you.

Certifications: Be sure that you understand that you pay for the certification in addition to tuition. I, as well as some other students in my class thought that it was included in tuition.

Job Placement Assistance: With a handful of job opportunities forwarded to me, most of which were internships, part time, and day gigs, it was a far cry from the expectation I had from the discussion when signing up for this course. Only a few real employment opportunities were passed my way, and no further placement effort beyond that.

Also, there is an interesting and, in my opinion, a conflict of interest relationship that the instructor has with Workforce Alliance. If you are not one of the ‘chosen few’, the question has to arise then “does this mean I am not employable?” Also, you will find out early in class about the relationship he has with the courthouse of PBC and his friendship with many of the judges.

Though the rest of the staff is very helpful and pleasant, it makes it difficult to be unhappy with them. I think they are really over a barrel by choosing a bad apple for a one-only instructor.
