Assetcare - Inovision - Medclr - Portfolio Group - NCO Portfolio Management Jury Duty Scam Telephone Call Ripoff Norcross Georgia

I received a telephone call on July 16, 2007 from a person stating that he was calling me about, the letter that was sent to me last week to appear for the Nassau County Federal jury duty. He stated that I must be at the court house tomorrow morning. I'm aware of this type of scam. I asked him to give me his name, he refused and said that I better appear at the court in the morning. I told him that I won't be there and that he is a putz.
He asked me if this is my social security number, I said it is none of your business. He was terribly offended that I would not answer his question and the name (putz that I called him. He asked me, did you casll me a putz, I said yes. He then threatened me with physical harm. He said that he knows where I live, he is sending over some people to f--k me up tomorrow. He then said that you owe people money and you will pay them.

I don't believe that our court system has the manpower to call every person who does not appear for jury duty. If they did, I would not be two or three days after they were scheduled to appear.

I dailed #57 to trace the number, no luck. I was alerted by Transunion credit reporting agency that an inquiry was made about me by Assetcare Collection Agency. I believe what they did is illegal. I did not authorize anyone to do a credit check. I did not apply for credit recently. I've been trying to contact a live person at Transunion, it is impossible. I will keep trying. I want to know if what Assetcare did is legal.

If anyone has information about contacting a live person at Transunion or the legality of this credit check please let me know.
