At the end of the 2005 school year, my son received a letter saying he was nominated, by one of his teachers, as being an outstanding student at his school, in Tampa, FL. The letter wanted my son to send a description of his self to be nominated for the book. I help my son fill out the description on-line and we received a form about two weeks later saying my son was accepted and to send in a picture and some money, if we wanted to buy a copy of the book or a plaque.
I mailed a $68.00 money order, on 6/15/06, for a copy of the book and as of today, 10/1/06, I still have not received the book yet. I have been checking their Who's Who website all summer for updates and the last time I went in on 9/17/06, the website said that the books would be mailed out at the end of the month. On this past Friday, 9/28/06, I checked the website again. jsut to find out that the website no longer exist.
I know now that has been a shame from the beginning and I want to get the word out to others before they fall into the same trap.

KGLA Publications, Inc. is a legitimate company that recognizes Middle School Students around the Nation. The great thing about being recognized in Who's Who Among Outstanding Middle School Students, is that students are getting the chance to put in biography form, all the activities and awards they have participated in and earned over the past few years. It serves as a great keepsake, one which students will be able to look back on years from now and recall their middle school years. There is no cost for being listed in the book and it is a great honor, one which to be very proud of. We offer parents the opportunity, if they desire to purchase a copy of the book but it is not mandatory to be listed. Students can be nominated by a teacher, coach, youth leader, parent etc. We then send them an invitation and application. Eligibility in the book is determined by the information provided to us FROM the parent and student on the Biographical Data Form/Application. Just because a student receives an invitation does not automatically make them eligible. We invite you all to come to our website and check us out or just give us a call. We are a great company with a great mission and that is to recognize today's youth who put forth the extra effort to succeed in the world today. Middle School Students are under a tremendous amount of pressure socially and academically and we believe that giving these deserving students positive reinforcement now, teaches them that hard work really does pay off.
