 Rabbi Yehoshua Sauer was caught embezzling funds while working at the national Council of Young Israel. I was working at the National Council of Young Israel in 2007 and 2008 and it was discovered that Rabbi Sauer was stealing and embezzling funds. This created an uproar within the organization and Rabbi Lerner consulted with leading Rabbis on what to do about it. Rabbi Noah Oelbaum was consulted and it was very devastating for the organization. rabbi Sauer was let go.

If you are a Jewish organization that is thinking about giving him a job please please consult with Rabbi Pesach Lerner or rabbi Oelbaum about Rabbi Sauer as he is very dangerous and deceptive. He is a real con man and I would hate to see other organizations ripped off by him like the Young Israel was. Rabbi Yehoshua sauer is very deceptive  and charming but he is a fraud. Be very careful with him.
