My girlfriends and I attended this school when we first moved to Miami and we all feel like it was the best thing that has ever happened to us! We didn't know a thing about bartending or the night life in Miami and Derek was kind enough to explain everything to us and help us to make the right choice to attend the school.  We have all been working non-stop for the past year and have more work coming to us than we know what to do with! Bartending school is not a scam, it is great if you are looking to bartend and need to learn the in's and out's and yeah you may pay for it (in which South Beach Bartending was kind enough to work out a payment plan so you don't have to pay for it all up front) but if you study hard and get what you paid out of it, there is NO REASON why you can't make it back in 2 shifts! Bartending school is just like any other trade school and either you can make it or you can't.

DEREK FONSECA AND FAKE TRADE SCHOOL also mentioned to fake it until you make it ...he tells you to LIE about job experience and his FAMOUS JOB PLACEMENT copy and paste from craigslist. WHY DOES HE LIE OR TELL YOU TO LIE? WHEN THERE IS NO JOB PLACEMENT. When REAL jobs such as HOTELS and BUSY CLUBS ask about experience people will LAUGH  at you in your face WHen you mention SOUTH BEACH BARTENDING SCHOOLS  as they will know you have zero experience thats why u went there in the first place...I bet derek, tony , and oscar never paid a penny for THEIR TRADE.   TO BE  a bartender one must start as a barback realistically speaking then as with all things in life you move up the ladder.  no one is ceo the first day there is no ceo school..... ANYWAYS unless you lie about your experience and you are a sexy person as soon as you starts working you will not know wat to do when people start askin you for things... or when the boss notices that your slow your gonna come out as a liar...NO good place where people want to work W or liv will hire a fresh out of loser school south beach bartending school.  ITS NOT COINCIDENCE i kid  you not i found a fellow fake south beach bartending school attendee she NOT ONLY  tells me she got fired because its obvious she lacks skills that only come natural with time...AND ALSO  doesnt recommend south beach bartending schools when people ask her ITS NO COINCIDENCE.. i pretty sure the lil secretary at fake south beach bartending school filed for a rebutal, or you and your wife must be really attractive people and must have attending harvard.......the REAL Harvard not harvard bartending school where derek has received his highest level of education.  It is a known fact that no hotel, bar, restaurant or club will NOT  hire a fresh out of bartendee school specially a fake school that moves locations all the time..EXPLAIN TO ME  or the READING PUBLIC  why many graduates have failed to find a job... but this school graduates desperately UNEMPLOYED people faster than  MCDONALDS make burgers on wednesday and sundays WITH their 39cent cheeseburgers...ITS NO COINCIDENCE I AM UNEMPLOYED WITH SOO MANY OTHERS graduates or should i say fellow UNEMPLOYED WHO GOT SCAMMED .  WHY PAY 400 TO REMEMBER A LIST? WHY PAY WHEN YOU CAN WATCH COCKTAIL FOR FREE?  WHY PAY IF YOU NEVER EVEN GET DRUNK IN BARTENDING SCHOOL? ITS LIKE THE KID THAT WENT TO COLLEGE AND NO DRUGS NEVER HEARD OF THAT...save your money go to college.PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM FAKE BARTENDING SCHOOLS AS THERE IS NO LEGAL REQUIREMENT IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA FOR A FAKE LICENSE TO BE A BARTENDER. As a bar owner, everyone I've hired from a bartending school has been fired.  These schools are nothing but a scam and when I lived in Miami and met Derek, I could see right through him immediately.
