I was contacted by ACRS last month with the promise of winning a $1,000 shopping spree. I was a bit tired and the lady on the line was a very charming lady.Next thing I knew I was getting 5 magazines that I can't afford. I listened but was distracted by my son. So I asked her to repeat things. I think she said different things to me to make me sign up for the subscriptions.
I emailed them. My phone was acting up. I told them in the email why in essence was I paying $460.05 for a $1,000 spree. I told them to cancel my order and that I was not going to pay. I emailed them over a course of 2 weeks and have saved my emails that I have sent. I saved the letters they have sent. I want to educated others about this fraudulent company so that they will not get hood winked as I was.

Following Mr.Jim Hammill's advice. Thank You Debra of Goose Creek for the info!! I called my bank and canceled my account per their advice. The woman at the bank also read a list of charges I knew nothing about!! 4 total!!! I then tried to call ACRS, but there was no answer and while it was ringing, there was alot of static. I hung up after 10 rings. I then emailed them and told them what I was planning to do.
Here is a copy of the email:
Hello again.
I am saving this email for my records.
I have just called my bank and have canceled the account number I gave you. You will not get any payments from there. I have requested time and time again to cancel my account. I just tried to call you, and what did I get? A lot of static and no answer. I did a search on your company. Did you know you have hundreds of reports on both www.scamclub.com and www.ripoffreport.com? You do. And I for one, feel like a fool for believing you. I have also contacted Jim Hammill of the Office of Consumer Protection of Montana. And I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau as well.
Regards,
Jennifer
And I got a call from them This the first time they ever responed to my emails. Some guy named Alex tried to talk over me and wheedle his way. I wiuld not let him I told him I was going to call the BBB and file a complaint. He tried to tell me that the reports on here were false and filed by unhappy customers. I told him to the explain to me why would they file ,then. He never ansered my question instead he tried to twist the words around. I got testy, I admit. I told him the $30.67 could go to better things like shoes for my son and food in the house. I told him that my husband just got his hours hortend at work and that I am out of a job. There is no money. I shouted that. I know I should have keeped my cool, but he really made me mad.
But I hope this matter is resovled.
